ENJOYING NATURE and DIVINE ENERGY
One of the workshop speakers at the 2012 Planetree Conference was Steven Halpern, who spoke about “Secrets of Sound Healing and the Future of Healthcare.” http://www.innerpeacemusic.com/
Halpern said that our bodies have the ability to self-heal when our brain is operating at 8 cycles per second, or 8 Hz. He also said that the frequency of water and nature is at 8 Hz. He also said that when people who are gifted with the ability to heal are actively healing someone their brainwaves are also at 8 Hz. With this in mind, he has composed music at 8 Hz, noting that our brain will automatically sync with what is around us – whether it is audible or not!
He also mentioned that when a person is actively engaged, working, talking, whatever, that their brain is operating at about 14-30 Hz. (See chart http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2004/SamanthaCharles.shtml ).
Is it any wonder we seek out rivers, mountains, prairies, lakes … nature … when we need to slow down, relax or regroup? We seek out environments (including our prayer closets) that will bring our brainwaves and heart rates down to a healing frequency.
“The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.” Matthew 13:1 KJV
“And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.” Matthew 14:23 KJV
“And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.” Matthew 15:29 KJV
“And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.” Mark 6:46-47 KJV
“When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.” John 6:15 KJV
In my experience, there has been significant conflict within the Church regarding our appreciation for nature because of a fear of worshipping nature or forsaking the Body of Christ. Because of that, I believe, that there is intolerance in the Church for the great awareness and respect that indigenous people have for nature.
There is also, in my opinion, a great need in the Church for people to understand that ‘power’ includes ‘energy’. I remember someone from my tribe teaching me about the differences between a woman’s power and a man’s power. In terms of my Christianity at the time, I only understood ‘power’ as authority and physical force. I didn’t under the element of power that is ‘energy’.
Frequency: cycles / vibrations or waves – hertz (Hz)
Energy: 1 a : dynamic quality <narrative energy> b : the capacity of acting or being active <intellectual energy> c : a usually positive spiritual force <the energy flowing through all people> 2 : vigorous exertion of power : effort <investing time and energy> 3 : a fundamental entity of nature that is transferred between parts of a system in the production of physical change within the system and usually regarded as the capacity for doing work 4: usable power (as heat or electricity); also : the resources for producing such power
Synonym of energy is vibration.
“Now about the spiritual gifts (the special endowments of supernatural energy), brethren, I do not want you to be misinformed.” 1 Corinthians 12:1 Amplified (KJV – spiritual – that part of man that is akin to God and serves as His instrument. )
‘Those who feel tired and worn out will find new life and energy,” Jeremiah 31:25 CEV (KJV – replenished.)
“For this I labor [unto weariness], striving with all the superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me.” Colossians 1:29 Amplified
“To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.” Colossians 1:29 NIV (KJV = working G 1753 = superhuman power)
“For this very reason, adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence), And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety), And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love. For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep [you] from being idle or unfruitful unto the [[g]full personal] knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” 2 Peter 1:5-8 Amplified (KJV = virtue = moral goodness in thought, feeling, action).
“And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?” Mark 5:24-30 KJV (Virtue 1411 – strength power, ability)
Power & Authority – Power: (dynamis ) 1411 = strength power, ability a) inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth. Note scripture uses a difference word for ‘force, strength’ and yet another word for ‘power of choice’. ( Number of times this word is used in the KJV NT: — power 77, mighty work 11, strength 7, miracle 7, might 4, virtue 3, mighty 2, misc 9 )
Consider including the concept of ‘energy’ and ‘vibrations’ as you read the references to ‘power’ in the following verses.
“But Jesus replied to them, You are wrong because you know neither the Scriptures nor God’s power.” Matthew 22:29 Amplified.
“But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.” Acts 1:8 Amplified
“How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, [a]in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.” Acts 10:38 Amplified
“For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification],” Romans 1:20 Amplified
“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—“ Ephesians 3:20 Amplified
“[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [[a]which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]” Philippians 3:10 Amplified
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified
For kicks, I found some verses that combined ‘sound’ and ‘heal / healthy’. I know that on first glance that the word ‘sound’ is an adjective. Imagine if it also did mean a measureable frequency keeping in mind that creation is made from Creator’s spirit/ breath / word and it is measured at 8 Hz.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
“Even so, every healthy (sound) tree bears good fruit [ worthy of admiration], but the sickly (decaying, worthless) tree bears bad (worthless) fruit.” Matthew 7:17 Amplified
“Either make the tree sound (healthy and good), and its fruit sound (healthy and good), or make the tree rotten (diseased and bad), and its fruit rotten (diseased and bad); for the tree is known and recognized and judged by its fruit.” Matthew 12:33 Amplified
“And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.” 1 Samuel 16:23 KJV
“With an instrument of ten strings and with the lute, with a solemn sound upon the lyre.” Psalm 92:3 Amplified (Sound = meditation)
“A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones.” Proverbs 14:30 Amplified
“A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.” Proverbs 14:30 KJV (Sound = health, healing, cure)
Have you every felt a ‘vibe’ and didn’t know why? How many times have you sensed something in your spirit and didn’t know how it applied or what it meant?
“The wind blows (breathes) where it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it comes from nor where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8 Amplified (Sound = a sound, a tone.)
A tone has a frequency. A sound has a frequency. Our brain and heart sync to the audible and inaudible vibrations.
“I was in the Spirit [rapt in His power] on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a great voice like the calling of a [a]war trumpet, Saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. Write promptly what you see (your vision) in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia—to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea. Then I turned to see [whose was] the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, And in the midst of the lampstands [One] like a Son of Man, clothed with a robe which reached to His feet and with a girdle of gold about His breast. His head and His hair were white like white wool, [as white] as snow, and His eyes [flashed] like a flame of fire. His feet glowed like burnished (bright) bronze as it is refined in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. In His right hand He held seven stars, and from His mouth there came forth a sharp two-edged sword, and His face was like the sun shining in full power at midday. When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. But He laid His right hand on me and said, Do not be afraid! I am the First and the Last, And the Ever-living One [I am living in the eternity of the eternities]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore; and I possess the keys of death and Hades (the realm of the dead). Write therefore the things you see, what they are [and signify] and what is to take place hereafter.” Revelations 1:10-20 Amplified.
The last verse speaks of Christ’s voice being a tone that sounds like water. Water, as we discussed, is known to be measured at 8 Hz. Christ’s voice is like healing waters.
“The brain researcher Michael Hutchison calls 7.83 Hertz the electromagnetic matrix for all life on this planet, the frequency at which all life forms have developed and, until a few decades ago, the prevailing electromagnetic frequency at which all life took place.” http://www.active-water.com/en/schumann_frequency.html
“Tesla discovered that the resonant frequency of the Earth was approximately 8 hertz (Hz)” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schumann_resonances
Prayer Regarding Enjoying Nature and Divine Energy
“Creator of All, thank You for putting Your healing energy into all creation through Your Spirit. Thank You for filling creation with Life. Father, thank You for the people who have persevered to prove that Your healing vibrations … Your healing touch .. Your life-force … Your Spirit … is in creation for Your glory and for Your perfect will. Father, thank You for making provision for Your healing energy to be measured and validated. We thank You that You have provided evidence that being in and around nature is beneficial and healthy. Father, thank You for creating ways for us to understand how Your Spirit resides within us, transforms us, and heals us. Father, Your indigenous people have tried and tried to convey these messages to Your people. Yet, fear and superstitions have held Your people in bondage. Your Church is afraid of embracing nature and concepts of energy for fear of adopting false practices or serving false gods. Your Church has been in fear for so long that they have disconnected from the very things You gave us to help us. Your Church is dry and rigid. Help us to see and hear and understand. We know that You did not create all things we consider nature so that it would be worshipped. We know that You did not put Your power and energy into all things created to be harvested, exploited, worshipped or exalted. Yet, we have become so disconnected from the very things You revealed to us and created for us, that we are empty. Lord, teach us to better understand Your indigenous people and their knowledge of creation and energy. Make us to be discerning, wise, and teachable. Father, forgive Your people for persecuting Your indigenous people because of their knowledge. Father, help us to see with Your eyes, hear with Your ears and discern with Your spirit. Father, Yahweh, Creator of All, teach us all how to find balance, receive all Your teachings, embrace what You have for us, and submit our thoughts and motives to You. We know that we only understand Your great mysteries in part, according to Your will. We know that we know so little. We try to fit supernatural concepts into explanations we can understand, forming doctrines, and setting rules. Yet, sometimes we find ourselves so distanced from the truth. Forgive us for our short sightedness and judgements and preconceived notions. Father, teach us how to hear You in the wind and in the water. Father, teach us how to hear what the animals are saying, how to find You on the mountain top. Teach us when to leave the crowds and seek solitude in the outdoors. Your Son is a wonderful example. He taught us about energy and he taught us about nature. Father, help Your Church to better understand and help Your Church to embrace the knowledge and experience that Your indigenous people can offer. Father, help Your indigenous people to heal through new relationships with the Church. We desperately need Your guidance, Yahweh, according to Your will, in the Name of Your Son Yeshua and by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Amen.”

First Nations Monday
(Note: This is Part 2 of a study that was originally prepared in November 2012 in partnership with NIAP Prayer Shield)
Books Used in this 12 Month Study
The Holy Bible in the following translations: KJV, NIV, Amplified, NASB, CEV and The Scriptures.
“Church History in Plain Language” by Bruce L. Shelley
“Encyclopedia of Native American Wars & Warfare”. General Editors William B. Kessel, Ph.D. and Robert Wooster, Ph.D.
“This Day In North American Indian History” by Phil Konstantin
As with the First Nations Monday prayer and Scripture studies, I like to study with 5 translations. As you go through these studies, I encourage you to do the same. “The Scriptures” is a translation that includes the original Hebrew names and has the books in chronological order. The Contemporary English Version (CEV) is a translation that is written for ‘oral tradition’ peoples and it flows well while reading it aloud. The Amplified version is one where meanings of words and phrases are ‘amplified’ for better understanding. The King James Version (KJV) is the translation that works well with Strong’s Concordance. The Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) is a great companion version that I find gives great insight.
